Reports coming out of Europe are suggesting that former Arsenal great Tony Adams may be joining Thierry Henry with the New York Red Bulls.
Accorging to Sport.es, "Apparently Tony Adams has requested that Henry accompanies the former Arsenal legend to New York."
Any potential move would not occur until next season once Henry has completed both the full season with Barcelona and all World Cup opportunities have been exhausted with The French national team.
The Spanish sports daily also believes that this move is inevitable, although the Barcelona forward will have a long way to go in winning over the large Irish population in New York. Following the end of his playing career, Adams turned to managing. His first gig was not exactly a successful one, as he oversaw the relegation of Wycombe Wanderers to League Two during the 2003/2004 season. He spent one calendar year in charge, leading the club to a 12-20-21 record before moving on.
In October 2008, Adams was elevated to the top post from his role as assistant with Portsmouth in the English Premier League when Harry Redknapp moved to Tottenham. His second stint would go about as well as the first, however, as Adams was sacked less than four months into the job, his team posting a 4-11-7 record during his time in charge.

Sounds like a perfect coach for the Red Bulls. A repeatedly unsuccessful one. | |

But if it means they get Henry and put together a striker tandem of Henry and Angel, their forwards will score almost every time touch they touch the ball. Shame that will probably only happen once every other game. |

I'd rather go after somebody like a Riquelme type who can feed Angel the ball, control the pace in midfield and can be dangerous in set pieces. Sure, I know, I want the world ... but if I'm going to invest in a DP to start with, that's where I'm going. |
