New Juventus coach Gigi del Neri says midfielder Claudio Marchisio is crucial to his plans. Del Neri has detailed his squad plans for next season.
He said: “Aggressive, applied, organized. My objective is to make the opponent worry about us again, the opposite mustn't exist; we have to be concrete, care for the particulars, attack and defend at the same time.
“Andrea Agnelli said three words to me, all of them the same: work, work, work. I have got to know a young man of great worth in the sense that he understands football. I have the impression that he chose me in person. You shouldn't expect a revolution. We will not throw out the baby with the bath water. This group has value. Juve scraped together 55 points last season, which is more than nothing. There will be changes and adjustments, not twists.
“For me, Buffon and Del Piero are two champions who we should focus on. They represent a legacy of class, experience and personality. One bad year can't cancel out Buffon and Del Piero.
“Del Piero is the charismatic captain of Juventus. For the future, I am thinking to Marchisio, an important element, a central midfielder who plays inside not outside. He is young, has a good temperament. I like him.”

About freaking time they made this change to a more accomplished manager. And I love the move of pulling Marchisio inside more. Add Kjaer and Vargas and we're back into play.

Marchisio? I know he's talented, but has anybody really tried to use him inside like this?

I always liked kuzmanovich from la viola, but Im not sure what happened to him; now what is goning to be done with diego; does he let the ferrari free or keep it locked up in the garage |

Nothing too great. We're going to learn a few things about Marchisio in the World Cup. Needs to be playing inside where he can distribute and show his toughness. |

If del Neri is building a new team centered at Machisio, I hope he allows Giovinco more games too.

If del Neri is building a new team centered at Machisio, I hope he allows Giovinco more games too. I've heard Giovinco is on his way to Bari. Probably a good move for him so he can finally get the playing time he needs. |
